Preces privatæ Græce & Latine / Andrewes, Lancelot (1555-1626) Oxford: Theatro Sheldoniano, 1675. Full leather. Very Good. 12mo; [4], 359, [1] pp., preceded by folding engraved portrait frontispiece. In early nineteenth century diced calf (extremities worn, sometime rebacked with consequent staining to original leather where new leather has been tucked under), spine divided into five compartments with gilt rolls, gilt lettered title to second compartment, marginal repairs to opening blanks and frontispiece (not affecting printed image), early engraved ownership label to reverse of frontispiece, a clean and complete copy of this neat pocket edition. One of a number of works by Andrewes that were eventually collected and called his "Devotions". A very good gopy with text in Latin and Greek.
